Obituary

DiROSA, Philip 93, of Tampa, passed away on March 17, 2013. He was born in New York City to his parents, Benedetto DiRosa & Caterina Mangione. A few months after his birth, the family moved to the Tampa area. Philip served in the U.S Army during World War II. He spent most of his life working as a sheet metal worker and enjoyed reading, attending his union meetings, and most of all spending time with his family. Preceded in death by his brother & sister, Leonardo DiRosa and Annie Scaglione. Philip is survived by his wife of 62 years, Manuela DiRosa; his children, Philip DiRosa Jr. (Aleida) and Eileen Pena (Fred); his grandchildren, Nicole Schrader (Andy) and Ashley Pena; & many loving nieces and nephews. A Memorial Visitation for family and friends will be held on Friday, March 22, at the chapel of JGR Funeral Home, 6718 N. Armenia Ave, from 6-8 pm. Interment will follow at a later date in the Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell.
