Obituary

GONZALEZ, Roberto Cayo 82, passed away on March 15, 2013. A native of Ybor City, he is preceded in death by his parents, Sotero Cayo Gonzalez and Ramon Valles Gonzalez and his sister, Angelita Gonzalez Vergara. He was educated in Tampa and graduated from the St. Peter Claver School Class of 1947. He began his working career as a butcher at Ramos' Meat Market in Ybor City then began working at Holsom's Bakery; when the company was sold to Wonder Bakery, he continued to work there until his retirement. He retired after 38 years of service with Wonder Bakery. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict and was a member of American Legion Post 167 for 43 years. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Tampa. He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Gloria and his devoted daughter, Regina and sorrowing family and friends. Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, March 19, 2013 at 11 am at Rest Haven Memorial Park in Tampa. Gonzalez Funeral Home 813-931-1833
