Obituary

CROCKETT, Ruby Kathleen passed away on Sept. 1, 2013, 18 days short of her 101st birth-day. She was born in Altoona, AL, Sept. 19, 1912. She is predeceased by her husband, Arthur, who retired from the Army Air Corps, which later became the Air Force, and her only son, Guy Allen, who was a service station owner in Tampa for years. She is survived by 3 grandsons, Guy Allen Jr., Mark Allen, and David Allen; 2 granddaugh-ters, Cindy and Kathy; and several great-grandchildren. She moved to Tampa in 1949 where her husband retired, and has lived here ever since. Ruby attended Bayshore Bapt-ist Church for more than 50 years. She was the youngest of 8 children. Ruby was well educated, witty, funny, and enjoyed visitors. Graveside services will be held on Wed. Sept. 11 at Myrtle Hill Mem-orial Park at 10 am. She will be missed by all.
