BLACK, Sarah Lenore Beloved aunt, age 91, and a long time resident of Tampa, passed away on Feb. 2, 2013, at Tampa General Hospital. She was born in Charleston, SC, to Solomon Crittendon & Sarah Elizabeth (Cobb) Black on Jan. 29, 1922. Lenore previously lived in Bedford, MA, and worked for Sylvania. She received her GS4 Civil Service commission in 1964 and returned to Tampa in the 70s to care for her Mother, & worked for Honeywell. She was active in her church, cherished her friends, enjoyed playing pool, loved a good joke & delighted in her cats. Lenore never married and was preceded in death by her only sibling, Dr. Stuart C. Black of Las Vegas, NV, in 2010. She is survived by her nephew, S. Richard Black of Lowell, IN; and niece, Debbie Mundy of Puyallup, WA. A memorial service will be held at the Forest Hills United Methodist Church, 904 W. Linebaugh, on Feb. 23rd, at 2 pm. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to Forest Hills, a local food bank or to the Humane Society.
