BRANAS, Theresa DesRosier, 80, of Dade City, passed away on Saturday, Nov. 7, 2009 at Hernando Pasco Hospice, Dade City. Theresa was born in Pontiac, MI, she moved to San Antonio in 1929 and then to Dade City in 1953. She loved teaching and retired in 1986 from Pasco Elementary School. She was a former member of the Dade City Woman's and Garden Clubs. She was a member of St. Rita's Catholic Church, Dade City. She was preceded in death by her father, Joseph N. DesRosier and mother, Catherine "Katie" Pike DesRosier. She is survived by her loving husband of 56 years, William R. Branas, Sr.; children: William R. Branas, Jr. (Wendy), Homosassa, Nancy Branas, Spring Hill, Mary Cay Sasser (Ray), Lacoochee and Patricia Branas, Tampa; siblings: Marie Merkle, Valrico, Patty Batchelor (LD), Brooksville, Kenneth DesRosier (Lorraine), Bradenton, Roman DesRosier, Dade City, Charles DesRosier (Linda), Huntsville, AL, Bobby DesRosier (Frances), Dade City; sister-in-law: Marilyn B. Keen (Tampa); 5 grandchildren: Chris Branas, Christina Branas Parrish (Dave), Jason Sasser (Charity), Charlie Branas, and Tyler Branas; 1 great-grandchild: Trey Sasser; many nieces, nephews, cousins, and many great friends.
