Thomas M. "Mike" Eason Sr.

EASON, Thomas M. Sr. "Mike" 86, of Land O' Lakes, passed away peacefully on May 19, 2011. Mike was born on May 28, 1924, in McRae, GA. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps in World War II throughout the Pacific Theater. Mike earned the Marine Combat Aircrew Badge for combat flights aboard the Grumman TBF Avenger and other classes of aircraft. Mike was a salesman and manufacturer's representative until he retired in the Tampa Bay area. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Eunave, and their two children, Thomas, Jr., of St. Simons Island, GA, and Nancy, of New Port Richey; two granddaughters Shelly Fazio and Stephanie Eason Burkhalter; grandson Jason Fazio, great-grandson Owen Edmunds. Mike was a resident of Florida for most of his life. He will always be remembered for his great sense of humor and his out-going personality. He was a joy to those who knew him and will be greatly missed! Military funeral honors will be held at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, at 11:30 am Thursday, June 2nd. National Cremation - Hudson
