BAISDEN, Ulysses H. Homegoing celebration for Ulysses Baisden, of Tampa, who passed away Wednesday, March 5, 2014, will be held Saturday, March 15, 11 am, The Center of Manifestation, Eddie Boles Pastor of New Hope M.B. Church, officiating. Interment will be in FL Ntnl. Cemetery. He served in the United States Army from 1974 -1977 and was honorably discharged. Several years after the military Mr. Baisden moved to Los Angeles, CA. Ulysses remained there before returning to Tampa in Dec. 2013. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ulysses Harold Sr. and Gladys Singleton Baisden; grandparents, Ed and Rosa Singleton; sisters, Eartha Ulysses Goudy and Luvenia Singleton Savage; and aunt, Levater Span. On Wednesday, March 5, 2014 he departed this earth. Survived by daughter, Christina "Tina" Aydelotte (John); his grandchildren, DeVaughn Barnum, SPC DeAndre' Baisden, Jasmine Grier, Micah Grier and Celeste Grier; sisters, Gladys Shavers, Christine "Sarah" Sims; and a devoted sister, Alice B. Brown and devoted brother-in-law, Ernest Brown; brothers, Benjamin Baisden, Edward L. Baisden; nieces; nephews; cousins, Calvin Jones, Robert Jones, Tommie Jones, Benjamin Jones; and loving family and friends. The Visitation will be held at Aikens Funeral Home on Friday, March 14, from 5-8 pm. The family will receive friends from 7-8 pm. Family and friends are asked to meet at the church on Saturday for the service.
