Wilford Leon WISNER

WISNER, Wilford Leon of Sun City Center passed away Jan. 29, 2014. Wil has two sisters, Carolyn Baker Mann and Kathleen Burney. He attended Broad Ripple High School in Indianapolis, IN; was a newspaper boy for the Indianapolis STAR; won the STAR Purdue scholarship by achieving a perfect scholastic average and attended Purdue University and studied electrical engineering, graduating summa cum laude along with other honors. He then spent one year as a Fulbright Scholar, studying electrical engineering in Aachen, Germany. When he returned to the United States, he attended Harvard Law School studying patent law. He then worked for AT&T, Bell Labs and their associated companies, which finally became Alcatel Lucent. In 1962, he met Marion Elizabeth Frommelt; they married on Dec. 22, 1962 and enjoyed a marriage of 51 years. Their daughter, Andrea Margaret Wisner, was born two years later. When Andrea was two and a half years old, they adopted twins, Sharon Elizabeth and Glenn Terry, who were two and a quarter pounds at the time. After Wil retired from Alcatel Lucent, he worked a few years at Finnegan Henderson. It is very clear that Wil was a hard-working man and very loving husband, father whom everyone loved.
