DAVIS, Willie E. Jr. of Tampa, passed Jan. 28, 2013. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, Feb. 2 at 2 pm at Ray Williams Memorial Chapel, 301 North Howard Avenue. Interment will follow in Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL Monday, Feb. 4. Mr. Davis was born April 25, 1925 in St. Petersburg to the late Bishop W. E. Davis and Mother Doreatha Ross Davis. He was married to Alice Davis, who preceded him in death, and one stepson, George. Mr. Davis attended the public schools of Pinellas County and later served in the United States Navy. After he completed his tour in the Navy, he returned to St. Petersburg and started his own lawn service business, and also worked as a janitor for the Pinellas County School System. Mr. Davis was a kind, loving and compassionate person. He had a special concern for those less fortunate. He enjoyed going out to fellowship with family and friends. He leaves to cherish his memories: 2 loving sisters, Earline Keys and Marion Webb (Kenneth); 1 brother, Elder Charles Davis (Deloris); and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other family members and friends. The remains will repose after 5 pm Friday, Feb. 1 at Ray Williams Funeral Home, 301 N. Howard Avenue, Rhodes & Northern, Owners. www.raywilliamsfuneralhome.com
