DuBORD, Matilde Behar 87, of Oldsmar, passed away Feb. 20, 2014. She is survived by her loving son, Morris Behar; beloved daughter-in-law, Deborah Behar; her adoring, grandchildren, Aaron Behar and wife Pamela, Jana Melamut and husband Brian, Risa Ross and husband Philip; and cherished great-grand children, Sari and Lila Behar, Ayla and Lee Melamut and Braden, Alec and Jaron Ross. She was born on the Island of Rhodes in 1926, to Daniel and Rosa Capelluto. She was a survivor of Auschwitz and Dachau and was liberated in 1945, at Bergen Belsen weighing only 75 pounds. She lost her entire family including six brothers and sisters, her parents and over 60 aunts, uncles and cousins during the Holocaust in WWII. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Anrico Behar and her second husband, Andre DuBord. She moved to the area in 1959, and she was the owner of Andre DuBord Continental Antiques until her retirement in 1982. Although she experienced unimaginable horror during WWII she never gave up hope and faith. Family was her number one priority and she always saw the good in every person. We will miss her dearly but she will never, ever be forgotten. We would like to thank her wonderful caregivers, Consuelo, Maria Christina and Aunt Betty, for all of their love and support. A funeral to honor her life will be held Feb. 21, 2014 at Sylvan Abbey Funeral Home at 11 am.
