FAIRBANK, Julie Anne 48, of home-town Pinellas Park, after battling illness, Saturday, Feb. 22, 2014 surrounded by her family and friends at St. Petersburg General Hospital, went to heaven to be with her father, Richard E. Fairbank Sr. The youngest daughter and survived to Susie Rose and the late Richard E. Fairbank Sr. Julie was an engineer, retired after 26 years with Essilor of America. She enjoyed coaching and playing softball, fishing, remodeling and walking her dearly loved dogs, Sabastian and Zachary. She is survived by her partner, Dee Friend; siblings, Susan Jacobs and husband Teddy, Dawn Jelinski and husband Ron, Richard E. Fairbank Jr. and wife Paula, Krys Guidice and husband Jerry, and Bubs Friend; nieces and nephews, Cindy Barnes and husband Chris, Angela Ranney and spouse Dallas, Jason Jelinski and wife Christen, Mikey, Chey Chey, and Caitlyn; great-nieces and great-nephews, Stevee Alyssa, Clayton, Dylan, Sierra Rose, and Kylee Rose. There will be a gathering to celebrate her life Saturday, March 1, from 2-4 pm at Anderson-McQueen (Tyrone) - Heritage Hall, 7820 38th Avenue North, St. Petersburg, with a service at 4 pm. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in "Jules" name to the SPCA and/or Autism Speaks.
