FORD, Charles Lester Jr. 89, died Saturday, April 12, 2014. He was born Oct. 21, 1924, in Portsmouth, NH, to Charles Lester Ford Sr., and Elisabeth Lovell Ford. As a 1941 graduate of St. Petersburg High School, Charles went on to earn a bachelor's degree in industrial engineering from The University of Florida. Later, he earned a master's degree in engineering administration from The University of South Florida. He spent 20 years working as an industrial engineer, followed by 20 years as a stockbroker. During his life, he enjoyed owning/piloting single-engine aircraft, crafting woodworking projects, practicing the flamenco guitar, and listening to music. Charles is survived by his wife of 65+ years, Anne F. Ford; daughter, Anne F. O'Brien; sons, Charles L. Ford III and William F. Ford; sister, Virginia F. Parker; and 5 gran-dchildren. A memorial service will be held this Friday, April 18, at 2:30 pm, at the Anderson McQueen Funeral Home, 2201 Dr. MLK (9th) St. North, St. Petersburg.
