CABOT, Russell F. age 89, of St. Petersburg, passed away April 28, 2014. He was born in Brooklyn, NY. Russ is a veteran of WWII having flown P51 Mustangs with the Army Air Corp, and a graduate of Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI). He lived in Long Island, working as an engineer with Sperry Gyroscope and then moved to Florida in the early 1970's. Russell enjoyed camping, fishing and boating. Of all his travels, Yellowstone was his favorite. After retirement, he became an enthusiast of building and flying model airplanes. Russ was a devoted member of Pasadena Presbyterian Church supporting them in many ways including music and missions ministries. Russell is predeceased by Wendy, his wife of 58 years; son, Steven; and sister, Phyllis. He is survived by three children, Andrew, Barbara (Richard) and David (Elizabeth); eight grandchildren; two nephews and a niece. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, May 31, at 2:30 pm, at Pasadena Presbyterian Church, with reception to follow. The burial will be a future date in Vermont.
