LOTTMAN, Ernest C. Jr. "Ernie" 84, of Clearwater passed away Wednesday, May 7, 2014. He was born in Moline, IL, and graduated from the University of Florida. He was a Marine veteran serving in the Korean Conflict where he received two medals of the Military Order of the Purple Heart. He retired from Florida Power in 1991. He was preceded in death by parents, Ernest C. Lottman Sr. and Beulah Roy Lottman, and brothers, Robert and Forrest. Ernie did extensive volunteer work during his lifetime. First with Boy Scouts of America serving in numerous positions for Troop 62 in Winter Park, FL. He was actively involved with Kiwanis International since 1989. He had a keen interest in Native American culture and history since early childhood that continued throughout his life. He also was a avid football fan, loving equally his alma mater GATORS and beloved Miami DOLPHINS. He is survived by his four children, Ernest C. Lottman III, Kathie Lottman-Brown, Kay Newlon, Mare Lottman, and 10 grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at Anderson-McQueen Funeral Home, 7820 38th Ave N, St. Petersburg on Wednesday, May 28, 2014 at 11 am, followed by inurnment at Bay Pines National Cemetery.
