STEFFES, Harold R. 85, born in River Rouge, MI and relocated to Spring Hill 29 years ago, passed away July 28, 2014 with his loving wife by his side. He is survived by his wife, Mary Ann; son, Gary A. Steffes; four loving stepchildren, James F., Louie D. and Philip L. Peyton and Cindy L. (Peyton) Makie. He has two brothers, Robert and Larry Steffes; sister, Lila Greene; 14 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He served in the Army during the Korean War. Mr. Steffes was the father of the Mentally and Physically Challenged Children of Pasco and Hernando Counties Halloween Party sponsored by Aripeka Elks Lodge 2520 and was a past Exalted Ruler. He was also a past District Deputy of the Central district; member of the Spring Hill Moose and Masonic Brotherhood Lodge 375 and was a Kentucky Colonel.
