SPIVEY, Verlyn 86, of Citrus Park and Dade City, passed away with his family by his side Tuesday, Aug. 26, 2014. He was a retired Army Sergeant Major in Special Forces. He loved to fish and hunt. Verlyn was owner and consultant of Spivey Utility. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Sandra; 5 children, Dan (Ann), Jim (Denise), Tim, Steve (Yvette), and Colette (David) Lazar; 10 grandchildren, Steve (Courtney), Matt (Nichole), Joseph (Ashley), Mitchell (Kimberly), Cory, Colena, Colesa, Cody, Jarryd, and Kendra; and 4 great-grandchildren, Mason, Makinley, Taylor, and Cory; brother, Zean; and numerous nieces and nephews. Family will receive friends Friday, Aug. 29 from 6-8 pm with funeral service Saturday, Aug. 30 at 3 pm at Trinity Memorial Gardens Funeral Home.
