POE, Leslie William July 19, 1962 - Sept. 19, 2010 Beloved Son, Beloved Brother, Beloved Father, Beloved Friend. He came into the world 7 weeks early and sadly left the world half a lifetime too soon at the age of 48. Leslie graduated from Dunedin High School in 1980 with honors. He attended George Washington University in Washington, D.C. for his undergraduate degree in International Relations. His graduate studies took him to the University of Virginia for a Masters degree in Anthropology & to Harvard University for a Masters in Middle East Studies. Leslie also studied abroad in Jordan, Morocco, & Spain & was proficient in Dutch, Spanish & Arabic languages. Leslie worked as an Intelligence Analyst for the government, specializing in the Middle East. Leslie loved music, was an insatiable reader & enjoyed poking around thrift stores for anything out of the ordinary. His three children were the center of his life & he was a wonderful father to them. Leslie was one-of-a-kind & he will be missed beyond words. He is survived by his parents, Bill & Mollye Poe; his children Beatrice, Jackson & Greta Lunsford-Poe; his grandmother Mary Trumbo; his older brothers Leonard & Stuart; his younger sister Laura Marks; & his former wife Virginia Lunsford of Annapolis, MD. A memorial service will be held for Leslie at 11 a.m this Saturday, Oct. 2nd in the chapel at Curlew Hills Memory Gardens, 1750 Curlew Rd, Palm Harbor.
