Obituary

MITCHELL, Homer, E. 86, of Lutz, passed away Oct. 20, 2011. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and will be greatly missed by his family and many friends. He proudly served his country in WWII and Korea with the U.S. Navy. He was an active member of the VFW, American Legion, DAV, AMVETS and Elks. He was a 32nd degree Mason. He was born in Huntington, WV. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Roberta (Bertie) of 47 years; his daughter, Julie Lea Sconyers. He is survived by his son, Homer Mitchell, Jr. (Gloria); his daughter, Barbara Wright (Ken) and daughter, Judy Mitchell; nieces and nephews. Also, his companion of 21 years Elaine Howell; 5 grandchildren, 14 great-grand-children and 1 great-great grandchild. A graveside service will be held at the Lutz Cemetery on Hwy. 41 at 11 am on Monday, Oct. 24th. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the .
