EICHLER, Edward J. 92, passed away peacefully on Nov. 6, 2012, under the care of Hospice. He and his wife, Doris, and five children moved to St. Petersburg from New Hartford, NY, in 1971. Edward served his country loyally and bravely as a pilot in the Army Air Corps under the rank of Major during WWII. He was predeceased by his daughter, Janice, and wife of 63 years, Doris. Survivors include sons, Gary, Stephen, Peter and Paul; 10 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. A private mass for family will be held to celebrate Edward's life. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Suncoast Hospice in Edward's name. Gee & Sorensen Funeral Home, 727-323-5111
