HOWARD, Israel L. Sr. 77, of Tampa died Thursday, March 7, 2013. Israel was born in Valdosta, GA, and lived in Tampa most of his life. He proudly served in the U.S. Army and was a bus driver with Hartline for over 30 years. He was a member of the Westshore Baptist Church and was a 32nd degree Mason. Survivors include his beloved wife of 54 years, Betty; his sons and daughter-in-law, Israel Howard Jr., Mario Howard, Derek Howard and Jeffrey & Dawn Howard, all of Tampa; daughters & sons-in-law, Stephanie & Anthony Thomas of Palm Harbor and Kim & Norman Brubaker of Tampa; sister, Bernice Smith of Tampa; 25 grandchildren; her 17 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter. Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 16th, 11 am, at the Westshore Baptist Church, 305 North Manhattan Avenue. The family will receive friends from 10 am, until service time.
