KAUFMAN, Sally Ann of Lutz, and Richmond, MA, passed away on Tuesday, March 26, 2013. Born in Hughestown, PA, July 15, 1936, daughter to John Aloysius Golden and Mary J. Golden (Kerwin), Sally graduated from Hughestown High School in 1953, married John Joseph Roche in 1955 and relocated to Clifton, then later, Bloomfield, NJ. She attended Berkeley School of Business and Bloomfield College. She was employed as Payroll Manager for PathMark, retiring in 1989 after 25 years. Sally was widowed from her first marriage in 1985. In 1989, with husband Donald L. Kaufman of Pittsfield, MA, Sally partnered in establishing the Donald Kaufman Toy Collection, the ultimate privately owned assemblage of antique and vintage toys. The collection sold at auctions that initiated in March 2009. Sally continued to oversee the auctions after her husband's death in October, 2009. Above all interests, Sally's happiest hours were spent as devoted grandmother; step grandmother; and great-aunt. She will be missed by daughter, Mary Ellen Simon & husband, Harry; son, John (Jack) Roche, wife Barbara; granddaughters, Katie Roche & Olivia Mae Roche. She is survived by her step children, their spouses; & seven step grandchildren; her nephew & niece; four great-nieces; and many friends.
