CHISHOLM, Geraldine M. passed away Wednesday, May 8, 2013 at home under the care of Suncoast Hospice. "Gerry" was born in Jacksonville to Robert & Janie Motley. She was affectionately known as "Tennie" to her four siblings, Larry, Irene, Marie & Bruce. After graduating from St. Petersburg High School, she attended Gordon Keller School of Nursing in Tampa. Graduating at the top of her class, she was presented with a First Edition of "Notes on Nursing" by Florence Nightingale. Gerry worked at Tampa General Hospital, Mease Hospital Dunedin & Anclote Manor Hospital in Tarpon Springs, & retired to Tarpon Springs after a long career. She married after nursing school to Charles Roger Chisholm from Clearwater and welcomed the arrival of her two children, Robert Bruce and Bonnie Jeane. Her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren gave her much happiness and pleasure throughout her life. She also enjoyed gardening, reading, playing scrabble, other word games, NASCAR and the Tampa Bay Bucs. She loved pets and they loved her in return, always remaining at her side. Gerry was a very generous caring woman who loved her family and derived much happiness during gatherings and family events. She always maintained a sense of humor with family and friends. She is survived by her son Robert Chisholm; daughter-in-law, Mary; daughter, Bonnie Cross (Blake); son-in-law, Rollie Blake; grandchildren, Rich Gargano, Amber Blake Rife, RJ Blake, Jameson Cross and Matthew Cross; and three great-grandchildren. Services at Dobies Funeral Home in Tarpon Springs, Saturday, May 18 at 2 pm for gathering & memorial service at 3 pm Pastor Jay Didriksen from Journey Community Church in Dunedin presiding.
