She was a beacon of kindness that devoted her life to her family. Joann worked hard all her life to support her family. She was a waitress at The Colonnade Restaurant for over 8 years and her kind spirit was always a joy to be around. Joann then went on to touch the hearts of young children as she worked as the Baker at Westshore Elementary School for over 10 years, which was very special for both her and her grand-daughters who made sure to blow her kisses from the lunch line every day. Even in retirement she worked hard to care for her grandchildren & great-grandchildren. She will always be known for her loving and giving heart and will be missed by all that knew her and loved her. A visitation will be held from 1-2 pm, on Friday, May 24th, at the Blount & Curry Funeral Home-MacDill Chapel, 605 South MacDill Ave, with a service at 2 pm.
