JORDAN, William R. Sr. 84, of St. Petersburg, passed away July 24, 2013, born in Kansas City, MO. He came to Florida in 1949, graduating with honors from the University of Florida. He served the army for 25 years as an enlisted man and officer in the United States, Germany, Pakistan and two tours of duty in the Vietnam War. He was a teacher, counselor, photographer, and the author of five books of poetry. He is survived by two sons; six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. A more honorable, remarkable, stronger, kinder, tougher, larger than life, and simply greater man; this man never knew. His accomplishments were for ten men; his compassion for others, ten thousand. What an incredible gift God bestowed to us. Proof that not only "the good die young." A graveside service will be held at the Bay Pines National Cemetery on Aug. 15, 2013 at 10 am. In lieu of flowers, it is hoped that donations may be made to the Epilepsy Foundation of America. Online memorial and guestbook at www.brettfuneralhome.net
