KASMIERSKI, Theodore J. "Teddy" 82, of St. Petersburg passed away on 2 Sept. 2013. Teddy lived a long and honorable life. Born in Scranton, PA on May 14, 1931 he served our country with great pride during the WWII and Korean War period. After his military service he provided for his family through various careers at Marcellus Casket Company and Carrier Corporation in Syracuse New York. He moved to St. Petersburg in 1976, where he worked for AmeriSteel/Florida Steel, and the 9th Street Publix Supermarket. Teddy was the loving husband of the late Dora Mae (Hoffman) and was loved dearly by his only son, Daniel John Sr., daughter-in-law, Mary and only grandson Daniel John Jr. Teddy was also the brother of the late Edward and Robert of Syracuse New York. The family would like to thank his loving and caring friends, the Angel who cared for him for the past 3 years and the neighbors who befriended him, cared for him and made him a daily part of their lives and families during the golden years of his life. A celebration of his life will be held at Anderson - McQueen Funeral Home, 2201 9th Street North on Sept. 8, 2013. The Viewing will be held from 2-4 pm, followed by Military Honors and a Catholic service at 4 pm, with a reception immediately following. A memorial service and internment will be held at Bay Pine National Cemetery at a later date.
