PAYNE, Ralph Sr. Homegoing services for Mr. Payne, who passed away Friday, Feb. 28, 2014, will be held Saturday, March 8, 4 pm, at Aikens Funeral Home Chapel, 2708 E. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd, Rev. Michael Neely, officiating. Interment will be in FL Ntnl. Cemetery, Bushnell. Born Feb. 22, 1926 in Clearwater to the late Clarence and Betsy Bryant. Ralph enjoyed playing cards and dominos, cooking, watching sports and travelling. He was a veteran of the United States Navy. Ralph worked for over 20 years for Tampco before retiring. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Evangeline Payne; & great-grandson, Jason Brown Jr. He leaves to cherish loving memories with his children, Ralph Payne Jr., Elbert Payne Sr. (Leslie) and Evangeline Bryant (John), and by Caroline Kennedy (Scott); 15 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; his nieces, Jackie White and Sharol Dennis; nephews, Jarod and Markese White, Millville, NJ; nephews; extended family, Calvin Ellis (Joan) and Reginald Mention, Julia Woodruff, Yvette Kennedy, Clifford and Thelma Canty and Lonzo and Pauline Williams, Tampa, and a host of other relatives and friends. The visitation will be held at Aikens Funeral Home, (813)232-8725, on Friday, March 7, from 5-8 pm. The family will receive friends from 6-7 pm. The family and friends are asked to meet at the chapel on Saturday for the service.
