James EVANS Obituary

EVANS, James Marcus

of Tampa, passed away on Nov. 19, 2015. Local Funeral services will be conducted Nov. 27, at 1 pm, at Tampa First Seventh-day Adventist Church, 822 W. Linebaugh Ave., Pastor Brad Cassell, officiating. A second funeral service will be held in Mobile, AL. Interment will be held in the Cade Family Cemetery, Thomaston, AL. He furthered his education at Southern University, Baton Rouge, LA. and the University of South Florida, Tampa. Mr. Evans was a member of Tampa First SDA Church. He was a former NFL Football player for the Kansas City Chiefs in 1987 and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 1988. He was also the Founder and Executive Director of the Tampa Bay Academy of Hope, where he motivated and assisted in positively changing the lives of many Tampa Bay Area Youth. Mr. Evans was a Life Coach-Motivational Speaker and the Entrepreneur of EagleQuest Group, Inc. until his passing. Preceded in death by his mother, Maxine Cade. Survived by wife, Gail Evans; daughters, Triniti and Destini Evans; seven brothers, three sisters, seven adopted brothers; a host of other relatives and friends. Remains will repose and the family will receive friends from 4-7 pm, Nov. 25, at Ray Williams Funeral Home, 301 N. Howard Avenue. Arrangements entrusted to RAY WILLIAMS FUNERAL HOME, Rhodes & Northern, Owners. and REESE FUNERAL HOME, 925 S. Bessemer Avenue, Prichard, AL 36610 (251) 456-2257.
