Lauture, Mauril
Mauril Lauture, 80, passed away peacefully on Friday, January 4, 2013 after many years of prolonged illness. He is survived by his beloved wife, Marie Ann Carmen Lauture; his son, Marc E. Lauture, of Idaho; his six daughters, Marie Anne Jeudy, of Florida, and Marie M. Lauture, Marie Irmine Brun, Carline Sainvil, Sandra Jeanty, and Nadine M. Alteus; and 12 grandchildren. Mauril also leaves behind his three sisters, Eliane Benoit and Petionne Lauture, of Stamford, and Edith Laguerre, of Queens, NY; and his nephews and nieces. In addition to his parents, Mr. Lauture is preceded in death by his brother, Solon Lauture. Born in Haiti, September 13, 1932, he was the son of the late Benjamin and Carisanne Lauture. Mauril came to Stamford from Haiti in 1980. At a very young age, Mauril was a person who believed that "it is more blessed to give than to receive." Mauril was a trustworthy, hard working man that was very dedicated to every assignment that was handed to him. He worked as a machine operator for PolyCast Inc. for 15 years before his retirement. He was a loyal and loving man that cared for his family more than anything in the world. Not only did he want harmony among his family members, but he also wanted peace amongst all. Mauril was very charismatic and charming. The two things he loved to do the most were to sing and laugh. He was a person everyone loved to talk to and spend time with. He was always very humble and full of joy and laughter. Friends and relatives are welcome to call on the Lauture family from 5 to 8 pm on Friday, January 11th at Bosak Funeral Home, 453 Shippan Avenue, in Stamford, CT. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at the Basilica of St. John the Evangelist R.C. Church, 279 Atlantic Street, Stamford on the morning of Saturday, January 12th at 9am. Interment will immediately follow mass at Woodland Cemetery, 66 Woodland Place, in Stamford. The Lauture family has entrusted the funeral arrangements to Bosak Funeral Home, 453 Shippan Avenue, Stamford, CT.
