Galasso, Angelina D. Angelina D. Galasso, 97, a long time resident of Stamford passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, January 29, 2015. She was born on April 18, 1917 in Bridgeport, CT to the late Benardino and Laura Pietrantonio DiCamillo. Angie was an employee of Pitney Bowes for many years before her retirememt. She was a gifted seamstress who took great joy in creating clothes and home décor for her family. In addition, she was a wonderful cook who often entertained her family and friends. She is survived by her devoted daughters, Laura DeMarco and Kathryn McGrath and her husband Martin. She was also blessed with four grandchildren Danielle DeMarco and Kelly Laccona and her husband George, Christopher McGrath and David McGrath and his wife Alison and also a great granddaughter Olivia Laccona. Also surviving are her loving sisters, Isabella and Nancy DiCamillo, a brother-in-law Carl Galasso and his wife Mildred and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, Angie was predeceased by her husband Daniel A. Galasso, her brother Nicholas DiCamillo and a sister-in-law Louise DiCamillo. A funeral procession will be leaving the Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 104 Myrtle Avenue, Stamford on Tuesday, February 3, 2015 at 9:50 AM for a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10:30 AM at the Church of St. Cecilia, 1184 Newfield Avenue, Stamford. Interment will follow at St. John's RC Cemetery, Darien. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Monday, February 2, 2015 from 3:00-7:00 PM. The family wishes to thank Angie's caregivers Marie Lundi and Adisa Sistrunk for their care and compassion. Grove, Denise Grove, Denise (Melee), May 16, 1929 to January 23, 2015, of Stamford, CT, was predeceased by her husband Melvin Grove, DVM and her children, Stephen and Gary. She is survived by her nephews Kenneth (Janet) Grossman, DVM of Margate, NJ, and Daniel (Carol) Grossman, DMD of Cary, NC, and by several great nieces and nephews. Denise was a much respected social worker in Fairfield County and was active in supporting services for the disabled. Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 31st at 1:00pm in the Leo P. Gallagher & Son Funeral Home 2900 Summer Street Stamford. Interment will follow in Long Ridge Union Cemetery Erskine Road Stamford. Gleason, Beatrice L. Gleason, Beatrice L. (Allsop), August 24, 1926 to January 12, 2015; of Westside, IA, and formerly of Dennis, MA, Morrison, IL, Carroll, IA, Trumbull, CT, Stamford, CT and Elyria OH; much loved wife of John Gleason for 53 years before his passing in 2004; following a brief illness. She was predeceased by her brothers, Bernard and Leonard Allsop and is survived by her children, Dennis of Boxford, MA, Gail (Hahn) of Trumbull, CT, Timothy of Ames, IA, Kerry (Schoessler) of Arcadia, IA, Teresa of Omaha, NE and Patrick of Carlsbad, CA; by her 13 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. She lived for her family and loved the beach, playing the piano, singing, gardening and reading. Nana, as she was known to her grandchildren and great grandchildren, never missed Jeopardy, played a mean game of Scrabble and was the life of the party at family events. She loved to shop, taught her daughters the key to finding a great bargain and was known for her love of all things sparkly. She passed on her humor and independent spirit to all of her children. A mass of Christian Burial was celebrated with family members at Saint Margaret Mary Parish in Omaha on January 14. There will be a memorial service at Cyril F. Mullins Funeral Home, 399 White Plains Road, Trumbull, CT. at 10:00 AM on Saturday, January 31, followed by interment at St. Johns Cemetery, 25 Camp Avenue, Darien, CT.
