Giordano, Marianne G. Marianne G. Giordano, 54, of Stamford, passed away at Norwalk Hospital on the morning of Monday, April 14, 2014 after a long fight with cancer. She was born in Greenwich on January 14, 1960 to the late Maurice and Elaine (Low) Giordano. Marianne grew up in Stamford, attended St. Leo elementary school, St. Gabriel middle school and graduated from Westhill High School with the class of 1978. Following graduation, she joined her family's business and played an active role in it for several years. She then went on to become an Emergency Medical Technician and worked with Stamford EMS for 13 years. Following her time as an EMT, Marianne became a Certified Nursing Aide, and provided home healthcare to her patients. It was in this role that Marianne found her true calling in life. Marianne was an avid New York Mets fan, and enjoyed bowling, but above all else she loved spending time with her family. She was a selfless, caring woman who will be missed by those who knew and loved her, and her memory will live on in their hearts. She is survived by her brother and sister-in-law; Rob and Caryl Giordano, her sisters and brothers-in-law; Barbara and Christopher Cavuoto, Laura and Gene Chrostowski, and Lisa and Dave Scherer, and eight nieces and nephews.
