Angela Iannotta, 60, of Stamford passed away peacefully on April 3, 2013 with her family by her side at Sharon Hospital in Sharon, CT. Angela was born April 23, 1952 in Rio Molle, Italy to Mary and the late Ralph Apruzzese.
Angela arrived in the United States by ship with her family at six months old, having settled in Stamford. She attended Presentation High School and Mother of God Academy, having graduated in 1970. She was a homemaker for many years and later worked as a secretary for Todd Combustion of Stamford in the early 1990's. She loved her music, especially Rock and Roll and Barbara Striesand. Angela never left her house without being properly dressed from head to toe. She had a heart of gold and was known as a kind and gentle soul. She loved nature and cooking, but her greatest joy was raising her daughter Noelle.
Besides her mother, Angela is survived by her daughter; Noelle Corelli and her husband John, of Stamford, her former husband Gino Iannotta of Stamford, her siblings; Laura Quigley, Salvatore Apruzzese and Antoinette Apruzzese; her nephews David Quigley and Michael Quigley and her niece Sarina Saunders as well as several great nieces and nephews.
A funeral procession will leave the Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 104 Myrtle Avenue, Stamford, on Saturday April 6, 2013 at 9:20AM for a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at St Cecilia Parish, 1186 Newfield Avenue, Stamford at 10:00AM. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Friday April 5, 2013 from 5:00 to 8:00PM. Entombment will be held in private at St John's RC Cemetery Mausoleum.
