Egan, Ann M.
Ann M. (Kelly) Egan passed away peacefully at Stamford Hospital on February 16, 2014 surrounded by her husband and children after a courageous battle with hepatitis. Ann was born on December 27, 1942 in Stamford to the late Michael J. Kelly and Margaret O'Malley Kelly.
Ann attended St John's parochial school and was a graduate of the first class of the former Stamford Catholic High School in 1960. She was a homemaker.
She is survived by her loving husband of 51 years, Patrick "Gene" Egan and three children: Thomas Egan of Stamford; Patricia McGovern and husband Kevin of Wilton; Tara Travers and husband Frank of Wilton. She is also survived by seven grandchildren: Seamus, Caitlin, Kelly and Erin McGovern; Brendan, Sean and Lauren Travers. In addition, she is survived by her sister Margaret "Peggy" Guido of Greenwich and William Kelly of Stamford, along with many nieces, nephews, cousins and several life long friends.
She was predeceased by her parents and brother John "Jack" Kelly.
Visiting hours are from 4PM to 8PM, Thursday, February 20, 2014 at the Leo P. Gallagher & Son Funeral Home, 2900 Summer St. Stamford, CT. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Maurice Church in Stamford, CT Friday, February 21, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. followed by burial at St. John's Cemetery, 35 Camp Avenue, Darien, CT.
