Anne Gospodinoff, 83, from Stamford and longtime Greenwich resident passed away Sunday, September 22 at Gaylord Rehabilitation Center.
Anne was born February 19, 1930 in Stamford, CT. The daughter of the late Jack and Susan Boccuzzi. She graduated from Stamford High School and worked for 35 years as an Early Childhood Teacher at St. Catherine of Siena Early Childhood Center in Riverside, CT, where she was loved by all her students and affectionately referred to as "Mrs. Anne." Anne was a parishioner at St. Catherine of Siena Church in Riverside and sang soprano in the church choir for many years, she loved Big Band Music, Dancing and preparing special meals for the Holidays.
Anne is survived by her husband Stephan M. Gospodinoff of Greenwich; her sisters, Grace Boccuzzi, Mary Boccuzzi, Vera Zurkowski and Nick "Bing" Boccuzzi all of Stamford. She is survived by her children, son Stephan Gospodinoff and wife Deborah of Stratford, CT and daughter Jacqueline Gospodinoff of Greenwich, CT; and grandchildren Heather Kossluk and Michael Gospodinoff. Her love and devotion to her family, students and all those that came into her life will truly be remembered.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Thursday, September 23 at 10:30 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church, 37 Schuyler Avenue, Stamford. Interment will follow at St. John's Cemetery, Darien. Relatives and friends may call at the Lacerenza Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 8 Schuyler Avenue, Stamford on Wednesday, September 25 from 4-8 p.m.
