Barbara Boltin L.P.G.A, age 61 of Lake Worth, FL passed away on February 10, 2013 from complications due to double pneumonia. Barbara was born in Jacksonville, FL. Barbara was predeceased by her parents and her brother, David Boltin. She is survived by her friend Martha Wright, brother Richard Boltin, nephew Shawn Boltin, niece Audrey Hasson and close friends from Stamford, Peggy Hagan, Boo Boo and Theresa Carlucci-Tyska. At an early age Barbara learned the game of golf from her Uncle who was the manager at Lake Worth Golf Course. This began her love for the game of golf and later her career as a Golf Professional teaching so many of all ages and abilities with great patience and perseverance. Barbara truly grew the game through her love of teaching, intense work ethic and caring for her students. She was Director of Instruction for Head Golf Professional, Angela Aulenti at Sterling Farms Golf Course in Stamford, CT for 18 years and a lifetime member of the LPGA. The void at Sterling Farms will be great and she will be missed by many co-workers, students and friends. Barbara was a humble, quiet, and thoughtful person. A consummate professional whose love for the game of golf was infectious. She was a dedicated teacher, a loyal friend and an overall great person who will never be forgotten.
A Memorial Service to celebrate Barb's life will be held at the Sterling Farm's Driving Range on Sunday April 21st at 4:30pm with a reception following at The Royal Green from 5-7pm. Memorial Donations in Barbara Boltin's name may be made to: Challenged People In Motion, Inc. 44 Stafford Road Stamford, CT 06902. A golf program for mentally and physically challenged children and adults founded by her late friend, Mary Jane(M.J.) Hagan.
