Frances B. Kowaleski, 92, lifelong resident of Stamford, passed away peacefully on the morning of Saturday, August 24, 2013 at her home in Stamford. She was born in Stamford on April 6, 1921 to the late Nikodem and Veronica Kowalewski. Frances attended and graduated from Holy Name of Jesus School and Stamford High School. Following high school, she went on to graduate from Katherine Gibbs School and a career as an Executive Secretary for Dunlop Associates where she was a dedicated and loyal employee. Frances was a well-travelled woman who had a loving way about her and a giving soul. She was a devout follower of Christ and a faithful parishioner of Holy Name of Jesus Church. Ms. Kowaleski is survived by her brother, Nikodem Kowaleski, of Stamford, her nieces, Suzanne Kowaleski and Tina Marie Thomas, both of Stamford, her nephews, Timothy Kowaleski, of Stamford, and John Kowaleski, of Massachusetts, and her grand-nephew, Nickolas Kowaleski. In addition to her parents, Frances was preceded in death by her brothers, Joseph and John Kowaleski. The Kowaleski family will receive the sympathy and condolences of friends and family on Wednesday, August 28th from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Bosak Funeral Home & Cremation, 453 Shippan Avenue, in Stamford, CT. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, August 29th at 11 a.m. at Holy Name of Jesus Church, 325 Washington Blvd., in Stamford, CT. The interment will held immediately after mass at St. John R.C. Cemetery in Darien. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Holy Name of Jesus Church Restoration Fund, 4 Pulaski Street, Stamford, CT 06902. The family has entrusted Frances' final care to Bosak Funeral Home, 453 Shippan Avenue, in Stamford.
