Georgios Giannoulis, 97, resident of Trumbull, CT and longtime resident of Stamford, peacefully passed away on Tuesday, April 29, 2014. He was born in Daphne, Greece on January 19, 1917 to the late Konstantinos and Ioanna (Kiriakoulis) Giannoulis. Georgios is survived by his beloved wife of 57 years, Christina (Vartoutsos) Giannoulis, who never left his side and who served him as his selfless caretaker towards the end of his life. He is also survived by his loving children; Joanne G. Berns (Philip), Dino Giannoulis (Alexandra) and Mariana Fata (Joseph), and his four grandchildren who were a source of pride for Georgios; Louis and George Fata and George and Antoinette Berns. The Giannoulis family will hold a funeral service for Georgios on Thursday, May 1st at 10 a.m. at the Church of the Archangels, 1527 Bedford Street, in Stamford, CT 06902. The Rev. Dr. Harry Pappas will be officiating. The committal service and interment will immediately follow mass at Fairfield Memorial Park, 230 Oaklawn Avenue, in Stamford. Memorial donations may be made in Georgios' name to: Church of the Archangels, 1527 Bedford Street, Stamford, CT 06902.
