James D. Anderson, husband of the late Jane O'Hagan Anderson died early Sunday morning, January 27.2013 at Norwalk Hospital. He was born October 14, 1924 in Ansley, Nebraska, the son of James R. and Clara Harris Anderson. Mr. Anderson attended Ansley High School and upon graduation enrolled in Mid Shipman School for the Navy in Southern California. He was a First Lieutenant during WW2, serving on sub-chasers guarding the east coast of the United States. He and Jane moved to Chamblee, Georgia after the war, where he earned a BS in Aeronautical Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology. He spent the last five decades of his professional career at Burndy Corporation in Norwalk where he was the head of Development Engineering in the Installation-Tool Division. He worked on many projects with NASA and Boeing; his last Project before retiring was the 777 for Boeing. He is survived by his daughter Linda of New York City; his son Jeffrey of San Leandro, Ca; and his son J. Christopher and his wife Lillian Fajardo of Norwalk. He is also Survived by three granddaughters: Linda and Krissia of Norwalk, and Vanessa Fajardo of El Paso, Texas. He was predeceased by his wife Jane and his son JR. Friends may call Thursday, January 31, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 Noon at the Collins Funeral Home, 92 East Avenue, Norwalk. Interment with full military honors will follow in St John Cemetery, 223 Richards Avenue, Norwalk.
