John Zoumboulis

Zoumboulis, John Nicholas.
John Nicholas Zoumboulis, 44, died peacefully on Thursday, February 13, 2014 after losing his two and a half year battle resulting from a cardiac arrest. Born on January 20, 1970, John was a lifelong Stamford resident. He graduated from Westhill High School in 1988 and earned his bachelor's degree from St. John's University in 1992. He went on to work in financial services as a bonds trader at Paloma Partners, LLC, but was an ambitious entrepreneur at heart who started several small businesses. Since 1999, John was the proud owner and operator of the Horseman Restaurant in Sleepy Hollow, NY.
John was a lifelong member of the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church and served the church in many capacities from youth group president to parish council member. John cherished his church and his businesses, but most of all, loved spending time with his children, family and friends, and his German Shepherds. He was also very active in martial arts for over 25 years. John was a loyal, fun-loving man who was proud of his Greek heritage.
John is survived by his four beloved children, Nicholas, Konstantina, Demetre, and Katherine. He is also survived by his parents, Nicholas and Catherine Zoumboulis, his brother George, and his sister and brother-in-law, Stacey and Lazaros Karipides, all Stamford residents, as well as many loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and close family members.
