Platten, Margaret Wyckoff
Margaret Wyckoff Platten, 95, died peacefully at her home in Stamford, CT on Tuesday, November 5 surrounded by her family.
She was a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. William W. Wyckoff of East Orange, NJ and a direct descendant of Pieter Claesen Wyckoff, who came to America from Holland in 1637. She was a graduate of Wellesley College.

Her first business trip was to Israel, in 1960.
Mrs. Platten, who had been a resident of Darien for 46 years, often referred to herself as a "professional volunteer." She served as a Trustee and Board member of: League of Women Voters, Mid-Fairfield Child Guidance Center, Darien Community Association, Wellesley College Durant Society, Noroton Presbyterian Church (where she led a children's choir for 17 years), and New-York Historical Society.
Her descendants are Katherine Platten Tyson (John), Peter Wyckoff Platten (Mary June), Alison Platten Vanderbilt (Alfred), seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, November 23 at Noroton Presbyterian Church in Darien, CT.
