Robert Benedict Davies, age 64 and loving husband of Katrina Noble Davies, died Saturday, November 3 at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center of complications from leukemia. Bob was born in New York City on July 20, 1948, son of the late Robert Sanders Davies and Faraday Benedict Davies of Scarsdale, NY. He was also predeceased by his step-mother Audrey Billings Davies. Bob graduated from the Kent School and Princeton University, and served in the U.S. Army. He worked as an investment advisor and was co-founder of Beacon Capital LLC in Darien. Bob was an avid golfer and could often be found at the Oak Hills Park Golf Course. He also was a longtime member of the Norwalk Yacht Club and the Roton Point Club. In addition to his wife, Bob is survived by his children: Ben Davies and his wife Lauren of Fairfield, and Liza Douglas and her husband Keefer of Washington, DC; two grandchildren; brothers Sanders Davies of Norwalk and Allan Davies of Arlington, MA; step-mother Marjorie Davies of White Plains, and a large extended family. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 10 at 11:30am at the United Church of Rowayton, 210 Rowayton Avenue. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Bob's name to the local Emig Foundation (P.O. Box 58, Rowayton, CT, 06853), the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, or a charity of the donor's choosing.
