Adam Piacenza of Hollywood, Florida died peacefully at home after a brief illness at the age of 86. He was born on August 31, 1926 in Stamford, CT to Leonard and Assunta Degulia Piacenza. Adam lived most of his life in Stamford where he graduated from Stamford High School, was a veteran of The United States Army
, and worked for Stamford Taxi and Racaniello Florist.
He is survived by his companion of 30 years, Frances Coniglio Bobinski of Hollywood, a brother, Michael Piacenza and a sister-in-law, Theresa Piacenza of Stamford. He is also survived by two nieces, Susan Piacenza Macari of Stamford, and Donna Roberto Rosquist of Brookfield, and four nephews, Leonard Piacenza of Milford, Michael Piacenza of Oxford, Robert Piacenza of Norwalk, and Rocco Roberto of Greenwich.
Adam was predeceased by his brothers, Louis and Angelo Piacenza, and a sister, Rosemarie Piacenza Roberto.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, March 5 at 11 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church, 37 Schuyler Avenue, Stamford. Interment will follow at St. John's Cemetery, Darien, CT.
