Christine Braun

CHRISTINE BRAUN, a resident of Monroe for the last 10 years, died on Sunday, February 27, 2011 at Yale-New Haven Hospital. Born on December 18, 1965 in Queens, N.Y. and raised in Darien, she was the daughter of Charles and Rosemarie McCaghey of Darien. She was 45. Christine was a former employee of U.S. Surgical. She loved to spend time with her son, Connor, and visit with family and friends. She also enjoyed skiing and reading. She is survived by her husband, Louis Braun and one son, Connor both of Monroe. She is also survived by a brother, Michael and his wife, Ellen McCaghey of Wilton; and a sister, Laura and her husband, Brian Hagen of Darien. She is also survived by four brothers and sisters-in-law; and 11 nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a son, Blake Braun in 2002. The family will received friends in the Edward Lawrence Funeral Home, 2119 Post Road, Darien on Thursday, March 3, 2011 from 5 to 8 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. John Roman Catholic Church, 1986 Post Road, Darien on Friday, March 4, 2011 at 11 a.m. Burial will follow at Fairfield Memorial Park in Stamford.
