Dylan Pape Obituary
Dylan Joseph Pape was granted his angel wings on March 21, 2016. Dylan's life would seem too short to many, but those who were touched by him understood that the quality of existence far exceeds the quantity of time in which one lives. His happy smile, contagious laughter, and heart of gold brought so much joy to family and friends. Dylan, as a son, brother, grandson, nephew, uncle, cousin, and friend, gave us all such courage and hope and reminded us of the preciousness of life.
Dylan will always be remembered for his kind and gentle nature. He was the epitome of selflessness and always put others before himself. Despite health related struggles throughout his life, he left lasting memories on every person fortunate enough to know him.
Dylan heard his call to heaven. Guiding him home will be those gone before him. Grandfathers M. Glenn Pape and Loudwig "Louie" Mirwald. We are comforted in knowing that Dylan is resting in peace having these loved ones with him now.
Dylan is survived by parents Linda and Richard Pape, sister Amanda and brother Ryan and his wife Stephanie. He was also the proud uncle to Walker and Miles Pape. Dylan is also survived by grandmothers Patricia Pape and Stephanie Mirwald as well as many aunts, uncles, and cousins who loved him dearly.
Friends may call on Saturday, March 26, 2016 from 3-7Pm and on Sunday, March 27, 2016 from 5-7Pm at the Leo P. Gallagher & Son Funeral Home 2900 Summer St. Stamford, CT. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11AM on Monday, March 28, 2016 at St. Gabriel Church 914 Newfield Ave Stamford, CT.

We were so upset to hear of Dylan's passing. Linda we had a history with our boys Dylan and James, a bond as mothers dealing with a difficult situation that began in the summer of 1991 in the PICU of Yale- New Haven Hospital. I remember meeting you and Dylan in the first few years when you would bring Dylan for appointments. Our family watched Dylan grow up through our annual Christmas cards with updates of what he and the family were doing. Thank you for sharing Dylan and your memories with us. I remember sweet Dylan Pape from ages 11-13 when I was his school counselor at Rippowam MS. He was a kind and caring young boy and his memory will live on as that. May he rest in peace now.

Dylan, It feels like just yesterday we were having our football games on the beach in Ocean City, MD year after year. I can also remember the lady who was down the beach with a bunch of puppies in her shopping cart as we talked your mom into letting you keep one. I will never forget that day when you held the pup real close to her and said "But mom look how cute" and she finally caved and said "yes". I will keep the Pape Family in my thoughts and prayers forever.
