Rosemarie Larkin, 88, of Avon and Naperville, IL, died November 9, 2013, after struggling with Alzheimer's for many years. She was born March 30, 1925 in Maywood, IL. She leaves behind her beloved husband of 64 years, Larry Larkin. They were married on June 25, 1949. Rosemarie's brother, Robert, and sister, Irene, predeceased her. She is also survived by her eight children: sons Larry and his wife, Sara, of Stamford, Tom and his wife, Mary Lou, of Danbury, Dave and his wife, Jody, of Avon, Robert and his wife, Jana, of Naperville, IL, Ed and his wife, Christina, of Redding, daughters Sue Abare, of Hingham, MA, Ellen Gero and her husband, Ron, of Chagrin Falls, OH, and Patty Kitchen and her husband, Chip, of North Andover, MA. Rosemarie loved to dote on her 23 grandchildren and one great grandson. Rosemarie was graduated from Immaculate Conception High School in Maywood. She was a gentle and loving mother to her eight children. She was an avid bridge player, bowler, and tennis player. A devout Catholic, Rosemarie was an active churchgoer throughout her life. Known for a happy and gentle demeanor, she was well loved by all who were fortunate to know her. Her family will receive friends Monday, Nov. 18, from 8:30 am to 9:30 am at the Carmon Funeral Home & Family Center, 301 Country Club Road Avon, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am at the Church of Saint Ann, 289 Arch Road, Avon. Burial will follow in CT State Veterans Cemetery, Middletown.
