Sandra McGarrie Obituary
Sandra McGarrie, 71, wife of William McGarrie, of Westport, Connecticut. passed away on Tuesday May 14th in Norwalk Hospital
Mrs. McGarrie was born May 30, 1941 in Middletown, CT. daughter of the late Alexander and Serey (Person) Chapell and has been a resident of Westport for forty-four years. She is a 1959 graduate of Norwalk High School, a former member of the Westport Young Women's League and loved to travel.
Survivors in addition to her husband include two sons, Erik McGarrie of Westport, CT. Troy McGarrie of Florence, SC. and one daughter, Karyn McGarrie and her partner Matina Nolan of Fairfield, CT., one brother, Paul Chapell of Oakton, VA. and two grandchildren, William McGarrie III and Troy McGarrie. Mrs. McGarrie was also predeceased by one sister, Arlene O'Brien.
Friends are invited to attend a funeral mass of Christian Burial on Monday, May 20, 2013 at 11:00 AM in Assumption Church, 98 Riverside Ave., Westport, CT 06880. Calling hours have been omitted. I was checking information about the Norwalk Hour as I lost my brother, Tony, and wanted to put in an obituary for him and was so shocked to see Polly's beautiful picture. Tony and I send our deepest sympathy. We dearly remember Polly's infectious smile, laugh and her very kind nature.
