Shane Slinsky Obituary
Shane Christian Slinsky, lifelong resident of Stamford, was born on March 19, 1998 to Laura Slinsky and Coady Hansen, both of Stamford. His life was tragically cut short on the evening of Saturday, August 27, 2016 at the age of 18.
Shane recently graduated high school and was looking forward to continuing his education in trade school with the hope of becoming a certified HVAC technician.
He is survived by his dedicated mother, Laura Slinsky, with whom he shared an intense bond and love like no other. He is also survived by his father, Coady Hansen, his half-brother, Dominic Leckie (they were inseparable), his girlfriend and long time best friend, Kayla Towne, his grandparents, his "Nina" Amy Thorsen, Paul Slinsky, Kathy and Rory Hansen and Michelle Diaz Williams. His uncles; Jeffrey Slinsky and Mendi Selmani. His aunts; Kristen Slinsky and Jada Hansen, as well as a host of additional cousins, family and close friends.
Shane's life was taken before he had the opportunity to fully explore what the world has to offer him and to reach his full potential. He had a huge heart, a smile that would light up the room and an infectious laugh. He recently traveled to California and showed an interest in snowboarding. He had a keen sense of style and always liked to accessorize with his infamous hats and sneaker; always dressed to the nines.
Shane's family will be receiving the condolences and sympathy of friends and family on Saturday, September 3, 2016 from 11am to 3pm at Bosak Funeral Home, 453 Shippan Ave., Stamford, CT 06902 to celebrate Shane's life. The family would like to express sincere thanks and gratitude to the Stamford community for the outpouring of love, support and condolences they received during this difficult time.
