Andrew A. Makovsky Jr.

ANDREW A. MAKOVSKY, JR. Andrew A. Makovsky, Jr. died at home on January 7, 2010. He was 76. Born in Norwalk, on December 31, 1933, he was the son of the late Andrew A. and Elsie (Kohout) Makovsky. He graduated from Darien High School in 1951. He started as a manager at an electronics plant, V-Band, in Yonkers, NY. He then became a supervisor at Bunker-Ramo Corporation for 30 years. He was a life member of the Darien Fire Department. He is survived by his wife, the former Gladys Payton, whom he married June 13, 1957, four children: Debra Tetrault, Andrew (Drew) Makovsky III, Steven Makovsky and Glenn Makovsky, and 10 grandchildren. He was a loving and devoted father. His children and grandchildren were everything to him. A Memorial gathering will be held at 3 p.m. on Saturday, January 16, 2010 at the Darien Fire Department, 848 Post Road, Darien.
