Andrew Joseph "AJ" Hoenig passed away Thursday, September 6th, 2012, with his loving parents by his side. Born on July 18th, 2011 in Norwalk, CT, he was the son of Andrew Brad Hoenig and Christiana M. Raucci. AJ is predeceased by his maternal great grandfather Joseph George Terenzio of Stamford, maternal great grandparents Thomas and Ida Raucci of Hamden and his paternal great grandparents Oscar and Eleanor Hoenig. He is survived by his beloved great grandmother Carmella "Millie" Terenzio of Stamford, maternal grandfather Michael A. Raucci of Hamden, maternal grandmother and step-grandfather Donna Terenzio and Gary Dohrmann of Fairfield and paternal grandparents Sid and Gig Hoenig of Wilton. He has also left behind his Godparents Elizabeth Terenzio and Steven Terenzio and countless aunts, uncles and cousins who touched his life on a daily basis. AJ was a beautiful boy with big brown eyes and dirty blonde hair. He was known as "Bubs" to those closest to him. AJ brought joy to everyone's lives daily with his continuous smiles, laughing and clapping. He experienced and enjoyed many things in his short life including visiting his extended family in Texas and South Carolina, and frequent trips to the "501 Club" in N. Pownal, VT. AJ also enjoyed trips to the playground at Calf Pasture Beach, frequent wagon rides for ice cream, and strolls to visit friends throughout the South Norwalk neighborhood. AJ's infectious personality will have a lasting impression on everyone who encountered him.
All are invited to celebrate a Mass of the Angels to be held Thursday, September 13th at 1pm at St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church, 669 West Avenue, Norwalk, CT. Interment will follow at St. John's St. Mary's Cemetery, Norwalk, CT. Immediately following services friends and family will be received at The Ginger Man, 99 Washington Street, Norwalk, CT. There are no calling hours. Funeral arrangements were made under the direction of Lacerenza Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 8 Schuyler Avenue, Stamford.
