Charles "Chuck" N .Wanosky Jr., 74, of Stamford, CT died of surgery complications on Tuesday, August 28, 2012. Born on September 24, 1937, in Stamford, CT, he was the son of the late Charles and Vera Wanosky. Chuck graduated from Stamford High School and attended Boston University while playing for BU's football team, graduating with a B.S. in Business. He retired from Metropolitan Life Insurance Co. as a vice president, and served as Brigadier General (retired) from the Connecticut Army National Guard. Chuck was a dynamic force whose trademarks were his sharp wit and head-tilting laugh. His passion for golf in later years allowed him to connect with nature, relish in the camaraderie of friends and partake in the physical activity he so enjoyed. Chuck was cherished for his deep, abiding love and care of his family, which was foremost in his life. He will be loved-always. He is survived by his wife, Cheryl Musgrave, his daughters, Nicole Stenquist and her husband, Scott, of Stamford, CT, Susan Brown and her husband, Scott, of Belmont, MA, and Rosemary Massari, mother of Nicole and Susan, of Milford, CT. He was a beloved grandfather to Christina Brown, Taylor Brown, Sydney Stenquist, Tyler Stenquist, and Laurel Brown. He is survived by his brother, Jerold Wanosky and his wife, Linda, his niece, Robin Wanosky, and nephew, Eric Wanosky.
A funeral service will be held at St. Mary's Holy Assumption Russian Orthodox Church, 141 Den Rd., Stamford, CT Monday Sept.3 at 10am, with reception following. Interment will be private.
