EUGENIA "NEA" PHILLIPS after a courageous 5 year struggle with Alzheimer's, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 24, 2012. Nea was born in New Haven on October 8, 1927. She attended Parsons School of Design in New York City and was an Interior Decorator in Stamford. Nea is survived by her Brother Ted Bouzoucos, Sister Irene Pournaras, Son Ted Phillips, Daughter Joanna Phillips, Grandson's George, Nicholas, and Connor Phillips, and her Granddaughter Nia Brewer, as well as countless, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her Parents George Bouzoucos and Alexandra Androus, Brother John Bouzoucos and her beloved Husband George Phillips. Nea & George resided in Stamford for over 35 years and were active members of the Church of the Archangels, Greek Orthodox Church, and will be deeply missed. Funeral services will be held on Thursday 6/28, 10:30AM, at the Church of the Archangels in Stamford, CT. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to CT Hospice, 100 Double Beach Rd., Branford, CT 06405 in her memory.
